Welcome to the best, favourite aftercare centre in Pretoria that is your child’s new home away from home!

We have been passionately looking after primary school children since we opened 2007. That is, over 500 happy children. Many started with us in Grade R and have stayed with us their entire primary school career.

We love our primary school children. We feel strongly that they should have their own age-appropriate space to thrive and be nurtured in. We believe in a home-away-from-home philosophy. We take care to meeting the individual child’s needs.

We collect kids from school and have food waiting for them once they have put down their bags. We serve the loveliest meals as close as we can to a nutritionally balanced diet that kids will love to eat! No compromises.

We have dedicated homework classes for each homework age group. We assist with homework, test & exam preparation, quarterly assessment work, practising speeches and where needed help with projects. We work on fine & gross motor skills, midline crossing, cognitive skills with our little ones in a play like environment.

We are also all about the FUN! Kids should be allowed to play and have fun once homework has been done. We have regular fun days for the children and our play grounds are suitable for primary school children including lots of space for sport and art. We swim every Friday and non-homework days. Many a child has become water-safe in our pool!

We collect children from their activities at school.

We believe in good communication with our parents. Any problems are communicated daily.

We are open year-round for holiday care. We take kids on awesome outings during the holidays.

We want our kids to thrive in life and later on. We work with them to achieve this both on and off the playground.

Our Staff

Connie Stander

Teacher Connie – Grade R & 1

Connie left a life of corporate to pursue working with children, something she was always great at since childhood. She always says that she can be in the worst mood and then go to work with kids and immediately have her mood lifted. It is her calling to let every child know how much they are loved and valued. She believes in God, community and values family. She loves working with her team for the good of the child. No effort or feat is ever too big in Connie’s eyes. She marvels at what can be accomplished in a child’s early years and believes that the earlier you start investing in a child the better. She has 2 children of her own.

Sharon

Teacher Sharon – Grade 2 & 3

Sharon is passionate about grade 2 & 3 learning. It is absolutely her niche. She has been working at the aftercare for years. She loves working, playing with children as well as listening to their abundant stories. She is fun-loving, kind, but equally able to be strict when the occasion calls for it. Her classroom manner is impeccable. She has 3 kids of her own.

PAM

Teacher Pam – Grade 4 & 5

Affectionately named Mam Pam is a super loving and caring teacher. She believes that all children are destined for greatness. She aims at teaching all her kids that they are capable of changing the world. She keeps her kids enthralled by being fun and adventurous herself. She believes in mutual respect. She is our resident Maths whizz. She has 2 kids of her own.

Sibongile

Teacher Sibongile – Grade 6 & 7

Sibongile’s personality is a lovely mix of fun, optimism, responsibility and being social. We also appreciate her for her candor. She loves working with children. She has a degree in child psychology and is currently studying towards becoming a qualified teacher. She is very experienced in aftercare life. Sibongile believes that working with children is a calling, not a career. She loves to see her kids shine! She has 2 kids of her own.

Loveness

Our Activity Runner

Loveness, our cook and activity runner, is a lovely, patient, caring individual. She works extremely well with children. She is a friendly and optimistic helper to all. She takes our children safely to school and back with any activities they take part in and cooks delicious meals.
